With a choice of facilities in our therapy centre we are able to provide maximum benefit for all dogs using Canine Massage, hydrotherapy using either the new 5×3 metre heated swimming pool or the aquatic treadmill all of which provide their own benefits for different conditions.
Canine Massage is the skilled manipulation of Muscles, Tendons, Ligaments and Connective Tissue. Massage is an effective natural therapy that can help rehabilitate your dog from injuries or lead a happier, more comfortable quality of life if suffering from a range of disorders including Orthopaedic, Neurological or Medical.
Hydrotherapy is controlled exercise in water, it is either non weight bearing or can be
controlled weight bearing, in water heated to 30 ᵒc this expands blood vessels, aid’s in relaxing muscles and decreasing pain, swelling and stiffness, Whilst providing resistance against movement resulting in muscle strengthening, joint mobilisation, and cardio vascular workout.
As a Qualified Canine Therapist, I fully acknowledge and respect the Veterinary Surgeons’ Act 1966 and Exemption order of 1962 and as such will not treat any animal without the prior consent of a veterinary surgeon.
